WMU-Cooley Law School takes third place in 'Food Fight'

WMU-Cooley Law School students, faculty and staff took third place in the "Downtown Lansing Food Fight," a fight against hunger, and gathered 468 pounds of food for the Greater Lansing Food Bank, which was 9.4 pounds of food per employee.
Each year, businesses and organizations take part in the Organization Committee of Downtown Lansing Inc.'s competitive food fight. The group who collects the most food donations takes home the traveling trophy. Members of the downtown Lansing community gathered with representatives of WMU-Cooley, on Nov. 25 to see who had collected the most food. The Lansing Board of Water and Light was the winner and took the trophy, for the second consecutive year.
"WMU-Cooley students, faculty and staff take pride in getting involved with efforts to make our community a better place and fighting hunger in our community is something we all want to be a part of," said Christopher Lewis, WMU-Cooley director of Enrollment Programs and Student Services, and organizer of WMU-Cooley's attempt to win the traveling trophy.
