Arbor Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center wins award
Arbor Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center was recently presented with the "Award for Excellence" by Great Lakes Caring Home Health, Palliative Care, and Hospice. Arbor Manor was chosen from more than 1,200 facilities, physicians and hospitals across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio for its dedication to excellent care.
William Deary, chief executive officer of Great Lakes, said the award focuses on three main criteria: (1) an organization's belief in the importance of good communication between Great Lakes Caring and the staff; (2) keeping in mind the needs of patients and importance of making timely referrals; and (3) for a facility's support and understanding of the importance of collaborative care when a patient is in need of hospice, palliative or home health care.
Great Lakes Caring has been presenting this award for seven years and Arbor Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is among an elite group of honorees. Arbor Manor is Jackson's only 5-star Medicaid/Medicare center, a recognition that only 37 Michigan skilled rehabilitation and nursing centers holds out of more than 400 in the state.
