Volunteers needed for May 1 Law Day

The Washtenaw County Bar Association's New Lawyers Section is sponsoring Law Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, May 1.
The event will be held at the Ann Arbor Community Center, 625 N. Main Street; and Ypsilanti Library 229 W. Michigan Ave.
During Law Day members of the public can come in for a 20 to 30 minute free consultation.
Attorneys willing to contribute two hours will meet with up to four clients. Areas of the law needed the most are family, employment, landlord/tenant, probate, consumer, SSI/SSD, bankruptcy, general civil, foreclosures, and real estate.
Call Candy Newton at 994-4912 or email newtonc@ewashtenaw.org to volunteer.
When signing up, mention what areas of law you can be the most helpful in and which location suits you.
A minimum liability policy is required for participation.
