'Real Estate Issues in Family Law' focus of seminar, April 29

The Family Court and Real Estate Law Committees of the Oakland County Bar Association will present a “Real Estate Issues in Family Law” seminar on Wednesday, April 29, from noon to 1 p.m. at Attorneys Title Agency, 31440 Northwestern Hwy., Suite 100, in Farmington Hills.

This seminar will highlight common issues that arise when real property is transferred in connection with a divorce, including:  how to avoid creating problems in a chain of title, basic types of ownership, dos and don’ts in judgments of divorce, proper uses of liens to secure obligations, when to convey real property in an divorce, and clauses to use in judgments of divorce. 

Speakers will include John C. Bommarito of Attorneys Title Agency and Randall Choini of Choini Group Attorneys & Counselors.  Moderating the event will be Ryan M. O’Neil of Mark E. Crane PLLC.

Cost for the seminar is $30 for  OCBA members, $20 for newer lawyers P72586+, and $40 for  non-members.  An additional $10 will be charged for walk-ins.  Register online at www.ocba.org.
