The U.S. District Court, the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Wolverine Bar Association jointly hosted a Law Day open house on Friday, May 1, at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. The theme of Law Day 2015 was “Magna Carta 800: Symbol of Freedom Under Law.” Happy to welcome open house guests were event committee members (left to right) Amy Johnston of Miller, Canfield, Paddock, &?Stone PLC; Assistant U.S. Attorney Susan Gillooly; U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge David Grand; Megan McGown of Law Offices of Lee & Correll; and John M. Sier of Kitch, Drutchas, Wagner, Valittuti, and Sherbrook. Among the agencies participating in the open house were the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; Coast Guard; Border Patrol; Consumer Bankruptcy Association; Courthouse Museum; Drug Enforcement Agency; FBI; Federal Defender Office; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; IRS; U.S. Attorney’s Office; U.S. District Court; U.S. Probation Department; U.S. Pretrial Services Agency; U.S. Marshals Service; and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
