PONTIAC (AP) - A teenager who was arrested after authorities say he threatened a shooting at his suburban high school will remain in juvenile detention for now.
The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports the boy, who now is 15, was given an update on his case last Thursday at a disposition hearing. The boy earlier pleaded no contest to a false report of an act of terrorism. He could remain in confinement until the age of 19.
Another hearing is set for June 30.
The boy's lawyer Deanna Kelley has said he's "never been in any type of trouble at school or otherwise." He was arrested in February.
The Oakland County sheriff's department says he threatened an attack at Milford High School. Investigators say authorities removed guns from his Highland Township home.
