Oakland County wants residents’ input on how to direct federal funds to improve neighborhoods and assist low-income residents. The county’s Community & Home Improvement Division (CHI) is developing a new five-year Consolidated Plan which will prioritize how to utilize $5 million annually in grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Residents can share opinions by taking a brief on-line survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7BX799N.
“CHI does an outstanding job assisting qualified residents and helping to make improvements in our communities,” County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said. “Your participation in this survey will help us enhance our services even more.”
The HUD funding includes Community Development Block Grants, the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Emergency Solutions Grants. For additional information about CHI or the Consolidated Plan, call 248-858-4309.
