NALS of Jackson County will meet from noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, at the Jackson Community Food Pantry, 701 Greenwood Street in Jackson, that provides food to those impacted by financial problems as a result of unemployment, divorce, disability, health, domestic violence, homelessness, disaster, aging and rising cost of living.
The guest speaker will be Mark Smith, Executive Director of the Food Pantry.
Attendees are asked to bring a bag lunch, and a dollar donation or canned goods to support the pantry.
The July 21 meeting will feature Officer Don Munster from the Concord Township Police Department, and his K9 partner. The meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m., in Judge Rappleye's courtroom.
Munster graduated from Lake Superior State University with a degree in fire science and worked for the Pennfield Township Fire Department near Battle Creek. He completed the Kellogg Community College police academy and has worked for the Springport and Parma-Sandstone departments.
