Attorney Torree Breen from Willingham & Coté, P.C. in East Lansing, Immediate Past President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Mid-Michigan Chapter, has received the WLAM?Regional Leadership Award, that recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of an individual WLAM member or an entire WLAM Region demonstrating professionalism, excellence and dedication to furthering the objectives of WLAM.
During her tenure as President of WLAM of Mid-Michigan, Breen expanded the visibility of the organization and held several well-attended events on behalf of the WLAM.
A member of the Willingham & Coté Litigation Group, and a shareholder of the firm, the Michigan State University College of Law alumna specializes in divorce, child custody disputes, no-fault litigation, insurance coverage, and handicapped accessible housing coverage.
A past president of the Ingham County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section, and a past member of the MSU American Inns of Court, Breen was recognized as a “Super Lawyer Rising Star” in 2008 and 2010; and rated an “Excellent” attorney in 2011 and a “Superb” attorney by AVVO in 2012.
In 2014, Breen was selected as one of the Top Ten Family Law Attorneys in Michigan by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (NAFLA); and that same year was recognized among the Top Ten Family Law Attorneys as selected by The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys (AIFLA).
Most recently, she received a Certificate of Completion in the area of Family Law issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
