LANSING (AP) - Leaders from seven Michigan companies are going on a trade mission to China this week that's led by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
The development corporation said in a news release Tuesday that business leaders will focus on expanding export opportunities while meeting with prospective partners, distributors and buyers. According to the development corporation, Michigan exported more than $3.4 billion in goods to China last year.
Companies partaking in the trip include Arbor Plastic Technologies of Sterling Heights and Bulman Products Inc. of Grand Rapids. Delegates are set to attend events in cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.
The trip to China is the seventh led by the development corporation this year. Other trade missions included trips to Brazil, Mexico, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
