Avoiding poor decisions focus of SBM seminar

The State Bar of Michigan, in collaboration with the Michigan Round Table for Diversity & Inclusion and the Michigan Diversity Counsel, will present a seminar on legal and judicial decision-making. “Blind Spots: How to Avoid Poor Decisions & Bad Outcomes,”?will be offered Monday, Nov. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Doubletree Downtown-Fort Shelby Hotel, 525 W. Lafayette in Detroit.

The seminar will include an interactive presentation with Kimberly Papillon, a nationally recognized expert on legal and judicial decision making who will explore the implications of neuroscience, psychology, and implicit association in the analysis of decision making which will be followed by a panel discussion. Training materials and resources developed across disciplines that address reaching better decisions will be provided.
