The Detroit area celebration of World Intellectual Property Day will take place on Wednesday, April 20, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Technological University, 21000 W. 10 Mile Rd. in Southfield. The event is free and the public is welcome.
This year’s theme is “Digital Creativity: Innovation in a Digital Age.” The event plans to discuss entrepreneurship and protection of intellectual property in today’s electronic, digital, and creative culture. Topics discussed will include licensing, open source software, 3D printing, and more. The program will include a keynote speaker, breakout sessions, and a panel discussion.
