County commissioner to hold community meeting on I-75 modernization

Oakland County Commissioner Shelley Goodman Taub is hosting a community meeting on the I-75 modernization project for local neighborhood associations and area residents on Tuesday, June 21, at 7 p.m. in the Bloomfield Township Hall at 4200 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township.

The meeting will focus on the modernization of the I-75/Square Lake Road interchange and will feature a presentation by MDOT outlining the strategic plan, the safety and improvement benefits, and the phases and timelines of construction.  Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session on this important issue.

“While freeway construction can be frustrating for commuters, the reconfiguration of the I-75/Square Lake interchange will make travel much safer for Bloomfield Township drivers,” stated Taub.  “I will continue to work to ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible for local residents and businesses.”

For additional information, contact Taub at 248-420-8870 or shelleytaub@comcast.net, or Connie Srogi at 248-858-0100 or srogic@oakgov.com. A flyer is available online at www.oakgov.com/boc.
