University of Detroit Mercy School of Law will host a panel discussion in honor of Constitution Day on Tuesday, Sept.13, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at its campus in downtown Detroit.
The program is titled “After November: Perspectives on the Future of the Supreme Court and the Constitution.” The discussion will focus on emerging constitutional issues, in light of the 2016 elections and the still-vacant U.S. Supreme Court seat formerly held by Justice Antonin Scalia.
The panelists are constitutional law experts on the Detroit Mercy Law faculty: Associate Dean J. Richard Broughton, Professor Khaled Beydoun, Professor Karen McDonald Henning, Professor Kyle Langvardt, and Professor Pamela Wilkins.
Parking is available on site and in the surrounding area. The law school is located at 651 E. Jefferson, Detroit. This event is open to the public at no charge.
