Sworn to Service

A special swearing in ceremony took place September 8 in the Oakland County courtroom of Probate Judge Elizabeth Pezzetti. Five students from the Auburn Hills campus of WMU-Cooley Law School were sworn in on behalf of the Family Law Assistance Project, otherwise known as “FLAP.” The Family Law Assistance Project is a collaborative program between Cooley and Lakeshore Legal Aid, offering students the opportunity to represent low-income clients in family law and domestic violence matters. The students work under the supervision of a licensed attorney.
