The Association of eDiscovery Specialists (ACEDS) hosted its inaugural Detroit 2016 Fall eDiscovery Symposium at the Book Cadillac Hotel on Thursday, Sept. 22. The half-day program featured discussion and best practices on information governance, cybersecurity, case law, ethics, and technology assisted review (TAR) utilization. Michael Hluchaniuk, retired magistrate judge for the Eastern District of Michigan, offered the keynote address based on his eight years on the federal bench and his 27 years with the U.S. Attorney’s Office where he played a leading role in drafting and implementing the district’s model eDiscovery order.
