To promote peace and tolerance in the law school community and beyond, University of Detroit Mercy School of Law will host a dedication and blessing ceremony of a peace pole in the outdoor courtyard of its downtown campus on Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m.
The dedication will be followed by a presentation in the indoor atrium where law students will share stories of discrimination based on race, religion, gender, and ethnic background.
This upcoming Promote Peace event is an effort to promote a culture of peace beginning with law students and expanding outward.
