Members of the Michigan Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. (BPW/Michigan) gathered in Grand Rapids on Nov. 5 for their Fall State Board Meeting and to recognize people for their outstanding dedication to BPW and willingness to help others. The Gala event honored the Person of Achievement Stars. The 2016 Person of Achievement from Jackson BPW is Cheryl Norey, a Community Relations Coordinator for Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. who has served the community through her employment at MACI and on several local boards. She also has been active on the United Way of Jackson Board of Directors and Campaign Cabinet. Also recognized as the Person of Achievement from the Albion BPW was Carolyn Gilg, current President of BPW/Michigan. She has been deeply involved with BPW for many years in Albion, and at the State level. Active in the Albion community, she has also served on the Rose Festival Committee in Jackson.
