The state of Michigan's surplus store, MiStore, is opening their doors to the public for a special one-day sale during the holiday season. Items seized by police, donated to the state, or left unclaimed at public properties will be available for purchase on Saturday, Dec. 10.
"This special sale is a great opportunity for customers to find a wealth of merchandise at great savings," said Carrie Rambo, manager of the state's surplus program. "We have items ranging from snowboard boots and baseball bats to cell phones and cameras. Buyers also can continue to use MiBid, our online auction site, to find even more great deals."
For holiday shoppers, the MiStore offers a one-stop shop for everything on the gift list. Merchandise includes sporting goods, workout equipment, power tools, automotive parts, hardware supplies, knives, computers, GoPro cameras, furniture, jewelry, and iPhones.
Payments can be made with cash and credit cards. Items are sold as is, where is, and no loading assistance is provided. No returns or refunds are accepted.
The one-day store will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 10. MiStore is located at 3111 W. St. Joseph in Lansing.
