The “Big Ten” has shrunk to nine, but that didn’t lessen the enthusiasm for one of the highlights of the holiday season for the Oakland County legal community. The 43rd annual “Big Ten Party” took place Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Santia Hall in Keego Harbor, drawing scores of merry-makers to the festive event that ranks as a holiday tradition for those with ties to the local bench and bar. Originally, the party was the brainchild of attorneys Parvin Lee, John Rogers, and the late Jim Flynn. Over the years, the sponsors of the party swelled to 10 attorneys, including Larry Russell, who died in the fall of 2015. Pictured are (left to right) Tom Ryan, Parvin Lee, Bob Kostin, Al Holtz, Kelly Allen, Robert Badgley, Don McGinnis Jr., Jose Fanego, and Kurt Schnelz. Missing from the photo is James Williams.
