Brinks Gilson & Lione’s Ann Arbor office received the 2017 Corporate INTL global award as Unfair Competition Litigation Law Firm of the Year in Michigan.
In further news, six shareholders from the Ann Arbor office were named firm-wide chairpersons of the legal and industry practice groups and internal committees for 2017. Jon Beaupré is co-chair of the Post-Grant Patent Legal Practice Group and Michael Spink is chair of the Intellectual Asset Management and Licensing Legal Practice Group, as well as Social Media Committee chair. G. (L.G.) Almeda is Brazil Task Force chair and chair of the Nanotechnology Industry Practice Group and Bill Boudreaux is co-chair of the Biotech/Pharma Industry Practice Group. Linda Nattler, who was recently named as a shareholder, is chair of the Germany Task Force. Steven Oberholtzer, managing shareholder of the Ann Arbor office is chair of the Client Service Committee.
In addition, shareholders William Boudreaux, James Cleland and Michael Spink, and Counsel Mike Gzybowski, were named as Leading Lawyers in Michigan for 2016-2017. Boudreaux was recognized in the categories of biotechnology law and intellectual property law; Cleland and Spink for intellectual property law, copyright and trademark law and patent law; and Gzybowski for intellectual property law and patent law.
Spink has been named to IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists, the ninth annual guide published by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine. It is the second time Spink has been named to the list.
