The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) New Lawyers Committee (NLC) hosted a baseball outing on Saturday, June 3, at Jimmy John’s Field in Utica. Prior to the game between the Utica Unicorns and the Westside Woolly Mammoths, the committee presented a check to the Frank C. Perez Youth Fund which was the NLC’s selected charity this year. The NLC chooses an Oakland County charity to raise money for throughout the year. Funds were raised from NLC events such as the Summer Splash, Novemberfest, Board of Directors bowling Challenge, and Meet the Judges Party/Silent Auction. As a result of these efforts, the NLC was honored to present the Frank C. Perez Youth Fund with a check for $7,500. Taking part in the on-field check presentation before the ball game were (left to right) Kristina Bilowus of Findling Law PLC, Silvia Mansoor of Dean & Fulkerson PC, Jonathan Martone of Clark Hill PLC, Zackery Hugg of Bodman, Jeffrey Kaplan of Law Office of Jeffrey S. Kaplan PLLC, Dallas Coleman of Frank C. Perez Youth Fund, OCBA President David Anderson of Collins Einhorn Farrell PC, Daniel King, Vicki King of Oakland County Circuit Court, and Jamie Martone of Dickinson Wright PLLC. The Frank C. Perez Youth Fund endeavors to provide educational, scientific, and recreational support of youth age 8 to 18 years of age, by promoting community education, supporting cultural exposure to the arts and other educational and recreational activities in the community.
