The Oakland County 52-1 District Court in Novi will remain closed to the public today and Friday but staff will report to conduct criminal arraignments and to answer phones for individuals who have questions about pending cases before the court.
“Out of abundance of caution, the court will remain closed until the boil water alert is over,” 52nd District Court Chief Judge Julie Nicholson said. “Our plan is to resume normal operations on Monday.”
Those with pending cases before the court may call the following numbers from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. if they have questions:
• Criminal Division 248-305-6460
• Civil Division 248-305-6080
• Probation 248-305-6144
• Tickets 248-305-6511
The 52-1 District Court closed Tuesday in response to the effects of the Great Lakes Water Authority water main break on 14 Mile Road.
