State to celebrate Adoption Month

With the theme of “Giving Thanks for Families,” courts statewide will celebrate Adoption Month.  

Held during November, Adoption Month has become a holiday tradition highlighting the importance of adoption and the needs of children in foster care.

The Michigan Supreme Court will celebrate Adoption Day on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with Chief Justice Stephen J. Markman, Dickinson County Probate Court Chief Judge Thomas D. Slagle, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Switalski, and Mason County Probate Court Judge Jeffrey C. Nellis in the Michigan Hall of Justice, Supreme Court Courtroom in Lansing.  The Michigan Supreme Court is pleased to welcome Rob Scheer, founder of Comfort Cases, as its guest speaker.
