Oakland County Clerk's Office earns perfect score for passports

The Oakland County Clerk’s Office has received a perfect score from the U.S. Passport Agency Acceptance Facility Oversight Report, following the Agency’s December 2017 audit.

The Office of Acceptance Facility Oversight (AFO) conducts independent oversight inspections that focus on protecting the integrity of the passport issuance process.

Facilities are evaluated on a number of criteria, including their compliance to Department of State regulations, their ability to mitigate the risk of fraud, and customer service.

“The report is a testament to my office’s continued dedication to providing customers with the quality service they deserve,” said Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds Lisa Brown. “We are proud to once again receive a perfect score from the AFO.”

Passport applications are accepted at the Oakland County Clerk’s Office - Elections Division, located at 1200 N. Telegraph Rd. in  Pontiac, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For additional information, call 248-858-0564 or visit www.oakgov.com/clerk.
