School holds open house for prospective students

The Auburn Hills campus of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School will host an open house for prospective students and their guests on Thursday, March 15, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The open house will include a discussion with staff and students, information about academic programs and scholarships, and campus tours.

“By attending the open house, anyone interested in earning a degree in law will have the opportunity to find out if the WMU-Cooley experience and its emphasis on practical legal education, is right for them,” said Associate Dean Joan Vestrand.

“With our courses taught by leading attorneys who have practiced extensively in the areas they teach, students learn beyond theory for real-world application of legal concepts.  And, we are particularly well suited for anyone who may be juggling career and family along with a legal education.  We have flexible scheduling and offer ongoing, meaningful academic support.  We welcome ambitious students from all different stages of life, in particular those who are role models for excellence, and share our core values of tolerance, diversity, civility, professionalism, and respect.”

The open house will take place Thursday, March 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 2630 Featherstone Rd. in Auburn Hills.  Sign up information is available at wmich.edu/law.
