As part of Black History Month, the American Constitution Society at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law presented a program on February 26 titled, “Police Brutality and the Black Community.” The program, which was held in collaboration with the Black Law Student Association, featured panelists Rodd Monts, a lawyer with the ACLU of Michigan, and Kathryn James, a civil rights litigator, according to Roeiah Epps, outreach director at the law school’s chapter of the American Constitution Society.
