Warner partner Christian E. Meyer reappointed to Michigan’s Electronic Recording Commission
Grand Rapids, Mich., March 13, 2018 – Christian E. Meyer, a partner with Warner Norcross + Judd, has been reappointed to the state of Michigan’s Electronic Recording Commission.
Gov. Rick Snyder first appointed Meyer to the commission in 2011, a year after it was established to ensure the standards and practices of county registers of deeds in Michigan for electronic recording of public documents are in harmony with the standards and practices of offices of county registers of deeds in other jurisdictions. The commission is also tasked with keeping the technology used by county registers of deeds in Michigan for electronic recording compatible with technology used by offices of county registers of deeds in other jurisdictions. Meyer was elected last year to chair the group.
Meyer concentrates his practice on real estate, zoning, property tax and litigation matters for business and individuals. He represents clients in a variety of industries, including supermarkets, retailers, manufacturers, financial institutions, developers, contractors and nonprofits. He also serves on the firm’s Legal Practice Committee.
Meyer is recognized in Best Lawyers in America as its 2017 Grand Rapids Real Estate Lawyer of the Year and as Best Lawyers’ 2018 and 2016 Grand Rapids Litigation-Real Estate Lawyer of the Year.
Meyer is a member of the American Bar Association, Grand Rapids Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan.
