Focus on Business Court

The Business Court and Counsel, Debtor/Creditor, and Employment Law committees of the Oakland County Bar Association presented “Seeking Injunctive and Other Equitable Relief in Business Court” on Wednesday, April 25, at the OCBA offices in Bloomfield Hills. Taking part in the program were (left to right) Joseph K. Grekin of Schafer and Weiner PLLC; moderator Jordan S. Bolton of  Clark Hill PLC; Robert Sosin of Alspector, Sosin, & Noveck PLLC; Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Wendy L. Potts; Joseph A. Doerr of Doerr Law Firm; and Oakland County Circuit Court Judge James M. Alexander.  Topics of discussion included the law underlying requests for equitable relief, including recent statutory amendments; drafting tactics to improve a client's chances of success; and procedural tips and tricks to strengthen an argument in favor of or in opposition to such a request.
