Discussion announced by county's water resources commissioner

Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner Jim Nash resumes year-long series of Water Infrastructure 101-“What You Need to Know Below and Beyond” discussions. During the month of November, Nash will engage the public on array of issues relating to water infrastructure.

Residents can join Nash on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Bloomfield Township Public Library, located at 1099 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Township. For additional information, call 248-642-5800.

The public will learn about water issues ranging from aging infrastructure, water quality, and stormwater to protecting inland lakes. Home infrastructure tips, Oakland County Water Commissioner infrastructure projects, employment opportunities, and the Water Residential Assistance Program (WRAP) are some of the topics that will be discussed. A question and answer session is part of the program. Public feedback is encouraged as part of the free event.

“The more people know about water infrastructure, the better they can understand what we face and the more they can learn about the importance of investing in our infrastructure,” said Nash.
