The Diversity Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will present “From Classroom to Courtroom” on Friday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Theodore Levin Courthouse, 231 W. Lafayette Blvd. in Detroit, Michigan Room 115.
This event is free to attend and will offer Michigan’s law students a chance to turn classroom skills into a federal court practice. Students will hear from federal judges during a panel
discussion titled “So You Want to Be an Intern”; observe civil or criminal court proceedings; and meet members of the Eastern District’s federal bar.
Lunch is included and a panel of federal court practitioners will explain how they got their start. Students are invited to join the FBA for free at fbamich.org.
