Courtroom changes taking place Monday

The Oakland County Circuit Court announces courtroom changes that will begin taking place on Monday, April 15, at the courthouse.

Judge Lisa Gorcyca will move from Courtroom 2A in the Courthouse Tower to Courtroom W1 in the Courthouse West Wing Extension.  She and her staff will be fully operational in Courtroom W1 on Monday, April 15.

Judge Jacob Cunningham will move from Courtroom W3 in the Courthouse West Wing Extension to Courtroom 5C in the Courthouse Tower.  He and his staff will be fully operational in Courtroom 5C on Monday, April 22.

In light of Judge Karen McDonald’s departure from the bench on Friday, April 12, Visiting Judge Elizabeth Pezzetti will assume Judge McDonald’s docket effective Monday, April 15.  Judge Pezzetti will preside over the docket until Judge McDonald’s successor is seated on the bench.  Judge Pezzetti will be located in Courtroom 5C on April 15 and 16 only.  Beginning on April 17 she will be located in Courtroom 2A.

Some Friend of the Court referees will be reassigned to different judges effective April 27, and some will be in different locations for Motion Call.  Visit the Circuit Court’s website at http://www.oakgov.com/circuit for more information about referee assignments and locations.
