New judge sworn in

On Monday, June 3, an investiture ceremony was conducted for newly appointed Wayne County 36th District Court Judge Kristina Lauren Robinson (left) at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center in Detroit. Happy to administer the oath to Robinson was Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Denise Langoford Morris (right). Robinson was appointed in March by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to fill a partial term after Judge Izetta Bright stepped down. Robinson received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She previously was the general counsel at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
