Marc Mauer, executive director of the Sentencing Project, will discuss “The Sentencing Project on Ending Perpetual Punishment” at Wayne State University Law School. This event, presented by the American Friends Service Committee and the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne Law, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 12, at Wayne Law in the Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit.
Mauer recently published a book titled “The Meaning of Life: The Case of Abolishing Life Sentences” and will be speaking on ending the perpetual punishment of America’s prisoners.
