'Employment Law Year in Review'

The Oakland County Bar Association presented “Employment Law Year in Review: Health and Safety in the Workplace” on Tuesday, June 25, at the OCBA offices in Bloomfield Hills. The panel of experts discussed significant legal developments in labor and employment law from the past year and provided insight into upcoming trends.  Speaking at the program were (left to right) Benjamin M. Low of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss; moderator Sayeda Davidson of Burgess, Sharp, &?Golden PLLC; Timothy Cordes of Cordes Law PLLC; Aaron V. Burrell of Dickinson Wright PLLC; and Dolores Korb Mayer of Wayne State University Law School.  Among the topics covered were “Bullying in the Workplace,” “Cyber-Bullying in the Workplace,” “A New Frontier: Marijuana Legalization and What It Means for Employers,” and “LGBT Issues in the Workplace in a Post-Obergefell Reality.”
