The Oakland County Bar Association will present “The New No-Fault: Know What You’re Buying” on Friday, Oct. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the OCBA offices, 1760 South Telegraph Road, Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.
On May 30, 2019 Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Senate Bill 1 (SB1) reforming Michigan’s no-fault insurance act. That new act will take effect on July 2, 2020. To address these changes, speaker Sarah E. Kuchon of Hohauser Kuchon Law Firm will discuss:
• The different coverages that will become available
• How to read an insurance policy declaration page
• How the new changes will impact first and third-party claims
Lunch and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the presentation to follow.
Cost for the seminar is $40 for OCBA members; $30 for new lawyer, paralegal, and student members; and $50 for non-members. To register or for additional information, visit www.ocba.org and click on “events.”
