Foster Swift attorneys Allison M. Collins and Stephen W. Smith have been named to the Council of the Agricultural Law Section for the State Bar of Michigan (SBM). Foster Swift attorneys were instrumental to this section’s formation in 2013.
Collins, who was also recently selected to lead Foster Swift's Agri-Business practice group, has an extensive agricultural background, personally and professionally. She grew up in an agricultural community in California and has continued her dedication to the industry in Michigan. She assists agricultural clients with environmental issues, commercial disputes, and insurance litigation matters.
Collins also was elected in 2019 to the Council of the Environmental Law Section for the State Bar of Michigan.
Smith practices in the firm’s St. Joseph office, assisting farm families with real estate and property matters, including agricultural land use, contracts, and property taxes, as well as trusts, wills, and estates.
