The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) and the Women’s Bar Association (WBA) co-hosted “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: In Action” on Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Federal Reserve in Detroit. Taking part in the program were (left to right) Zenell Brown, court administrator, Wayne County Circuit Court; program co-facilitator Tedi Parsons, managing partner of 2B Inclusive LLC and president &?CEO of Michigan Diversity Education Center; program co-chair Katie Brown of Maddin, Hauser, Roth, &?Heller PC; OCBA?Past President Jim Parks of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss PC; OCBA Executive Director Jennifer Roosenberg; OCBA President Dan Quick of Dickinson Wright PLLC; program co-facilitator Darlene King, executive director of the Michigan Diversity Council; and program co-chair and WBA President Erin Flynn of Kelly &?Kelly PC. Participants learned how to build the business case for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), be an effective DE&I leader, and strategically create, improve, and implement DE&I initiatives.
