The State Bar of Michigan’s Labor & Employment Law Section will host its annual and mid-winter meeting on Friday, Jan. 24, at the Detroit Athletic Club.
Jim Obergefell from the Supreme Court case Obergefell v. Hodges will be the keynote speaker, and the Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Barry Goldman.
Registration for the event begins at 1 p.m. The education program and annual meeting will run from 1:30 until 5 p.m. A cocktail reception and the awards banquet will follow.
There is no charge for LEL Section members who want to attend the education program and annual meeting, although registration is required and this does not include cocktails or dinner. The cost for LEL Section member also attending the reception and awards banquet is $150 ($165 for non-members/guests).
