Program offers 'Keys to an Effective Preliminary Exam' on March 12

The Oakland County Bar Association will present “Keys to an Effective Preliminary Exam” on Thursday, March 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the OCBA offices, 1760 South Telegraph Road, Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.

During this seminar, attendees will examine how to prepare themselves and thier clients for a preliminary examination. Topics of discussion will include:

• Defining probable cause
• Timing and jurisdiction
• Reasons to waive (or not waive) an exam
• Adjournment strategies
• Witness examination
• Bind-over arguments

Speaking at the seminar will be Judith S. Gracey of The Gracey Law Firm.
