Clinic welcomes new director, seeks client applications for fall 2020

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law welcomes David C. Berry as assistant professor and director of the International Intellectual Property Law Clinic. Berry is an experienced and highly-regarded intellectual property law practitioner and scholar who brings over 20 years of practice experience and 18 years of teaching experience to the faculty at Detroit Mercy Law.

In the International Intellectual Property Law Clinic, Berry will supervise students who advise low-income inventors on how to best protect their ideas. Clinic clients are selected based on financial eligibility, clinic resources, and the potential educational opportunity of the prospective client matter.
