On Friday, September 25, at 8 p.m., the author Minda Harts is hosting “The Memo Virtual Experience,” an interactive discussion based on her book, “The Memo.” Harts speaks on women of color in the workplace, including the needed ally-ship of women of color and white women so everyone can lean in and move gender diversity forward.
The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (Wayne and Tip of the Mitt Regions) and The National Association of Judges (NAWJ) Michigan Chapter want Michigan women lawyers and their friends and allies to meet-up in this virtual space and participate. The goal is simple: Michigan women lawyers and judges of all backgrounds and experiences will have a shared experience and then an opportunity to begin discussions in local bar associations, firms, law schools, and courthouses to embark upon sustained equity and equality for women in the legal profession. Research has documented trends such as pay equity and the lack of women attorneys in senior partnerships or judgeships.
The price of admission is $25 per person and tickets are available on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-memo-virtual-experience-tickets-117587502385.
WLAM and NAWJ do not receive proceeds from tickets or any event sales.
Anyone with questions about participating in this meet-up event can email Zenell Brown at zenellbrown@comcast.net.
