Firm launches tax resolution webinar

Venar Ayar, lead attorney at Ayar Law, a law firm specializing in the resolution of tax problems for businesses and individuals, recently announced the Ayar Law Foundations in Tax Resolution webinar, accredited by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). This 2-day, live, interactive webinar, October 27 and 28, has been created to enable tax professionals and attorneys to expand their practices by helping their clients who get in trouble with the IRS.
Ayar is well known among Michigan accountants and attorneys for his ongoing offer of free tax problem resolution advice. He has also been outspoken in his concern for taxpayers who are preyed-upon by tax resolution scammers on TV. The Ayar Law Foundations in Tax Resolution webinar is a natural outgrowth of both issues.
"I saw that some of my accountant friends were offering Tax Resolution services to their clients," said Ayar, "and I know that more accountants, as well as attorneys, could also be growing their practices and helping their clients, if they get the right guidance and instruction. That's what we'll be offering in our new Foundations in Tax Resolution webinar."
Webinar topics will include:
- IRS structure and how the audit process works
- Ethics, explaining what you are and are not allowed to do when practicing before the IRS
- How to resolve a case from start to finish
- Key resolution strategies like, "Offers in Compromise" and "Currently Not Collectible"
- Other resolutions, including "Installment Agreements" and "Penalty Abatements"
- Financial Analysis, including Transcripts and THS
- Establishing a tax resolution practice, including marketing and what to charge
For accountants, tax resolution skills are especially valuable, because they can help their clients while building their practice year-round, and not just during the tax filing season. Through Ayar Law's NASBA accreditation, webinar participants can also earn the education credits they need to maintain their professional standing.
