Darryl Bressack
Attorney Darryl Bressack, 43, of Huntington Woods, died on 25 January.
Bressack originally earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Florida but moved to Michigan to attend law school. During law school, he fell in love with the area and decided to stay.
Bressack is one of two founding attorneys of Fink Bressack which opened in 2011. He focused his practice on complex municipal litigation, commercial litigation, shareholder disputes and individual and class actions. He was an extremely active Sustaining Member of the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and served diligently as the co-chair of its Antitrust Committee.
He was passionate about providing pro bono service in a variety of matters and before going into private practice, Bressack worked under a federal grant to represent victims of violence in various civil court matters. He was an extern with the South African Human Rights Commission and interned for the Cambodian Defenders Project.
Bressack is survived by his beloved daughter, Eliza, who is 12; his former wife and mother of their daughter, Barbara Bressack (Nicole Toth); parents Herbert Bressack and Prafulla Devi; and siblings Benjamin (Alicia) Bressack, Arjuna Bressack, Jaya Bressack, Ean (Michelle) Bressack, and Miriam Letts. Other family includes Benjamin Bressack Jr., and his daughter Lylla Bressack, Gavin and Georgia Bressack, and Kiera and Kadrianna Letts.
