The State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section will host an outdoor event, “Get Back in the Game,” on Saturday, June 12, at 1 p.m. at Kensington Metropark, Shelter N, 4570 Huron River Pkwy in Milford. The event will feature a picnic, outdoor games, and day of fun. Traditional picnic foods (hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, etc.) and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided.
Kensington Metropark offers an 18-hole regulation golf course, a disc golf course, a nature center, a farm-learning center, picnic areas, beaches that surround Kent Lake, splash pad with water slide, and boat rentals. An 8-mile paved hike-bike trail, 19 miles of horse trails, and 7 miles of hiking-only trails are available as well as connecting trails to other nearby parks.
SBM Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section members and their immediate family members are welcome to attend at no charge. The cost for non-section members and their families is only $10 per person payable at the event.
Additionally, the park entry fee of $10 will be covered for SBM Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section members if registered by June 1.
