The State Appellate Defender Office (SADO) along with the Wayne County Criminal Advocacy Program (capwayne.org) will host a webinar by Nurses for Social Justice (www.nurses4socialjustice.org) on Thursday, August 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. via Zoom.
This webinar contains two lectures:
• Medical Records Revealed: This lecture will cover how to trudge through medical records, how to determine if reports are missing, the best resources for defining medical terminology, and when it’s time to hire an expert.
• Alleged Injuries: This lecture will cover the most common injuries seen in assault cases including simple abrasions and lacerations, broken bones, brain injuries, stabbings and gunshot wounds. The lecture will also explain how those injuries are normally treated.
This webinar is open to defense attorneys and defense team members only. To register, visit www.sado.org and click on “Upcoming Events.”
