Young Lawyers Section plans kayaking event, Aug. 21

The Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan will host "Kayaking the Chippewa River: Protecting & Managing Our Fresh Water Resources" on Saturday, August 21, from noon to 5 p.m. at Chip-A-Waters Park, 1403 W High St. in Mt. Pleasant.
This educational and kayaking adventure will take participants down the Chippewa River. The event will start at noon with lunch and a presentation about the preservation of Michigan's freshwater resources by Kellie Beldyga, water quality specialist with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Afterwards, participants will be shuttled to Buckley's Mountainside Canoe for kayaking until about 5 p.m.
