Victim Advocate Annual Conference offered online

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will present the 2021 Victim Advocate Annual Conference online Monday through Thursday, September 27-30, via Zoom.

This important virtual program is free for prosecutor-based victim advocates, prosecuting attorneys and assistant prosecuting attorneys.

Monday, September 27
9-9:15 a.m.—Welcome

1-3p.m.— Male Survivor-Advocacy for Male Sex Abuse Survivors

Tuesday, September 28
9 a.m.-noon—Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC)  
1-3 p.m.—“I Will Kill Your Parents.  Fair Trade?”  How Domestic Abusers Tamper with their Victims and Advocacy Models to Protect Victims

Wednesday, September 29
9-11 a.m.—A Deep Dive into Crime Victim Compensation and S.A.F.E  
1-2p.m.— An Overview of the Center for Forensic Psychiatry and Crime Victim Notification Requests

Thursday, September 30
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.—Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity
1-3:30 p.m.—Human Trafficking-Creating a Safer Future for Our Children
