Applications are now being accepted for a seat on the Michigan Court of Appeals, 2nd District. Judge Jonathan Tukel passed away in September leaving a vacancy on the bench.
To be considered for this position, applicants must be a State Bar of Michigan member who meet the legal qualifications for this office. Applicants should be aware that to be appointed they must reside within the judicial district.
Judicial appointment questionnaire, writing samples, resume, and supplemental documents must be submitted using the online portal at www.michigan.gov/appointments and received by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 28. Additional letters of recommendation can still be submitted after your initial submission to judicialappointments@michigan.gov.
