The Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) is pleased to offer a webinar for all judicial officers who will be a candidate for judicial office in the 2022 general election. The "2022 Judicial Elections Webinar" will take place Friday, November 19, from 9 to 11:45 a.m.
This program will provide material and presentations that review common ethical issues associated with campaigning and fundraising and discuss strategies to avoid ethical missteps. It will also include a presentation on the applicable election and campaign finance laws governing judicial campaigns. Ballot access, petition circulation and affidavit requirements along with the process for filing for candidacy, campaign report deadlines, and proper contributions will be reviewed.
This webinar is designed to serve the judicial officer. MJI is unable to accommodate virtual participation by a judge's campaign manager, spouse, family, or friends.
